Streusel Topping

Streusel is that crumbly, buttery little miracle on muffins and quick breads that turn a simple baked goods into a memorable bite.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup All purpose Flour sifted
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup Non-Salted butter cold, cut in pieces
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Whisk the flour, salt and granulated sugar in a medium to small bowl.
  2. Using clean fingers, crumble the butter and flour together until the mixture forms clumps when pressed together.
  3. Sprinkle this streusel topping on top of your muffins, quick breads or other baked good just before popping into the oven.

Notes

Tip: Press large clump tightly together in your fist, then gently break apart to obtain various size crumbles.
